In 1990, NSK demonstrated its commitment to global expansion
by purchasing the RHP group of companies, adding the worldrenowned brand to its product portfolio. RHP continues to flourish
across the globe underneath the banner of NSK – a synergy
of European and Japanese production, engineering, sales and
marketing.
RHP was an amalgamation in 1969 of the three major British
bearing manufacturers, dating back as far as 1898. The three
companies were Ransome & Marles (1917), Hoffmann
Manufacturing (1898), and the Pollard Ball & Roller Bearing
Company (1933). The combined company, Ransome Hoffmann
Pollard (RHP), became a highly respected brand across the
globe in the industrial and aerospace industries, and even today
remains a world-leading brand in Self-Lube® product groups and
Super Precision Bearings.
